OverviewAV Service Technician position based in the Boston metro area within RoomReady's expanding Service team. The role focuses on technical accuracy and completion of service calls, responding to service calls and tickets to ensure a quality customer experience, and onsite surveys for upcoming installations. Overnight travel is frequent, up to 75%, with travel primarily along the East Coast. Location near Boston with access to a major airport is required.Base pay range: $30.00/hr - $40.00/hrWhat you will be doingRespond to service calls for AV systems, primarily in permanent video conferencing spaces.Conduct remote service calls directly with customers.Install simple 1–3 day teleconferencing systems.Perform custom space certification and closeout.Provide end-user training (onsite & remote).Provide remote and onsite support troubleshooting.Skills and qualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience in the AV industry.Ability to obtain CTS certification within the first 6 months of employment.Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.Ability to travel overnight.Knowledge of maintaining, repairing, diagnosing, and installing or replacing AV equipment.Ability to read and understand blueprints and AV drawings.Strong knowledge of the AV industry and equipment types.Precise written communication for filing repair, installation, and maintenance reports.Ability to work with minimal supervision and use technical judgment on complex tasks.Experience with ticketing software systems.Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.Completes all required documentation accurately and within expected timeframes.Maintains positive customer interactions and acts in RoomReady's best interests.About RoomReadyRoomReady is a growing audiovisual technology company focused on improving the meeting room experience.
