Job Overview The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm seeking a Strategy Specialist III for a prominent client. This role is fully remote out of the EST time zone. Job Details Shift Information: Monday–Friday, fully remote in EST Pay range starts at $70+/hr 12-month contract to start; this is a W2 contract (No 1099/C2C) with a possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and budget Benefits after qualification period including health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance Job Description Oversee the Software Category Program, manage targeted spend, supplier ecosystems, and third-party partnerships to advance strategic and operational priorities. Guide the development and execution of sub-category strategies (enterprise applications, SaaS, AI tooling, cloud solutions, developer platforms) and collaborate with cross-functional teams including technology, procurement, risk, and finance. Identify opportunities to optimize cost, improve software asset utilization, enhance vendor performance, manage relationships with major software providers, ensure compliance and risk mitigation, and leverage Software Asset Management (SAM) tools to drive spend visibility and continuous optimization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree (MBA, PhD, etc.) preferred 5+ years of Software Category Management or Procurement experience required Ability to produce category strategies, supplier management plans, and supporting deliverables required Strong organizational capabilities and strong verbal/written communication skills required Exceptional time management and autonomous work capability required Additional Information Please forward this post to any friends or colleagues as a Referral Bonus is offered for any candidate who is hired and remains employed after 30 days.
