**ManTech** is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Senior Field Engineer** to join our team in the **Reston or Chantilly, VA** location. This is an **onsite** position.

The successful candidate will travel worldwide to deploy, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain systems, train technical support personnel to perform maintenance on those systems, and remotely support system troubleshooting and maintenance when not traveling.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**

+ Traveling worldwide to install and configure new systems as well as upgrade, maintain, and recap existing systems, including all system and network infrastructure and peripherals

+ Training in-country technical support personnel to perform Tier 0-1 troubleshooting and maintenance on deployed systems, both in-country and remotely

+ Communicating with in-country personnel remotely, while not traveling, to troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2-4 issues and documenting issues and resolutions appropriately

+ Working with network management personnel on integration issues to maximize system performance

+ Evaluating system performance and recommending improvements

+ Supporting and improving the processes and procedures needed to provide real-time technical support for deployed systems and teams

+ Working with engineering teammates to resolve reported problems

+ Interfacing with third party vendors for monitoring, troubleshooting, tracking, and resolving issues

+ Working with quality assurance/testing personnel to define acceptance criteria for each release cycle and testing systems as needed

+ Preparing and presenting briefings to the Sponsor as required

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ 10+ years of relevant systems engineering, systems administration, and network administration experience

+ Ability and willingness to travel overseas 25% - 50% of the time

+ Strong Linux administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9+ and Bash

+ Strong Network administration experience, including DNS, routing, and firewall configuration

+ Strong infrastructure administration experience, including technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Consul, Vault, Nomad or similar technologies

+ Experience with general systems administration enabling tools such as Jira, Git, and Gradle/Maven

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Cloud administration and remote management experience

+ Prior experience installing and maintaining complex systems deployed worldwide

**Clearance Requirements:**

+ Must have an active/current TS/SCI clearance.

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

+ Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

+ The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

+ The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
