We can shorten your time to market, reduce engineering changes, and reduce your product development costs.Position SummaryUsing prints, schematics or work instructions, is able to assemble point to point wiring harnesses, cable and mechanical assemblies.Encompasses Levels 1 & 2.General Job DescriptionSupports the Operations function in performing a wide variety of tasks associated with cable assembly to include: Cut, prep, wire stripping, wire crimping, soldering, tie wrap, winding, coax, ribbon, potting, plugging, closing, labeling, and molding.Mechanical assembly, install wire harnesses and electrical components.Troubleshooting, rework, and repairs of components using a variety of hand tools and equipment according to required specifications for defined Manufacturing processes.The size and complexity of the product varies. Must be mechanically inclined, have the ability to read drawings and specifications on customer drawings.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsCable and wire harness fabrication experience highly desirableWiring and soldering experience is highly preferredPossessing the ability to work as part of a team and to have a positive attitude is essential.Interpret assembly drawings and follow verbal/written work instructions to produce a high-quality product within the allotted time frame.The ability to communicate with managers, engineering and quality regarding production and quality status and issuesMay float & perform work assignments in other departments if necessary.Must be able to work OT as needed.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
