About the Job.Why This Job is Important.
As the Director of Sales for Walmart & Sam's Club your role will be pivotal in driving sales and fostering strong relationships with Walmart and Sam's Club. You will need to be a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to join our Bentonville team. You will have a deep understanding of both Retailers' landscapes, exceptional sales acumen, and a proven record of success in managing/navigating both these large Customers. You will have deep experience and significant levels of interaction with Walmart Merchandising Teams and Private Brand Development Teams across multiple categories and departments.
As a key member of the Nice-Pak team, this position drives Nice-Pak's existing and new revenue while always working to improve net margin. You will help lead the overall sales effort, working directly for the Bentonville Team Lead (VP). In addition, you will work and interact closely with the Nice-Pak Category and Marketing teams to help develop, coordinate, and implement best-in-class private label products for Walmart and Sam's Club across all products Nice-Pak manufactures and supplies. You will need to be an excellent team player.

What We Expect from You in the Role:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 10+ years' experience with a CPG Supplier preferably with Private Brand Sales background calling on Walmart/Sam's Club
- Expert in Luminate data mining
- Superior computer skills including Retail Link, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Highly skilled at creating and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Comfortable presenting in front of groups, negotiating large programs and asking for the sale (closing).
- Smart, listens and understands the landscape of all meetings with the Customer. Works toward a win/win environment for the Customer and Nice-Pak
- Analytical and understand benchmarking and ROI of commercial insight.
- Ability to gather, interpret, and apply multiple customers, shopper, and category insights and use them to develop powerful business-building initiatives.
- Has creativity in promotional and marketing development with EDLP/dead net environment.
- Develop a working knowledge of the competitive landscape and Nice-Pak's points of difference.

Syndicated and Retail Link (Luminate) Data management:
- Create, interpret, and leverage shopper insights to be included in selling presentations to help "set the stage" for existing products, new item development, and new growth.
- Use IRI data and other syndicated sources to examine the competitive landscape, understand the challenges and opportunities, and use leakage trees to affect change if necessary.
- Combine IRI with Retail Link data to build a compelling sales story for new items, existing items, and promotional and marketing opportunities.

Walmart and Sam's Club eCommerce Sales:
- Collaborate with Nice Pak category teams and within the Bentonville office to develop and execute the annual Walmart and Sam's Club eCommerce sales and marketing plans. The ownership of this responsibility includes ensuring that all Walmart Private Brand products and Nice-Pak Branded items are available on Walmart.com, product images are up to date, and the product and page content is current and best in class.
Project Management
- This role's responsibility is to collaborate directly with the Customer (Walmart, Sam's Club, and Sun Strategy) and carry the necessary expertise back to the Nice-Pak internal Category and/or Commercialization teams to provide direction and next steps along with timelines.
Key Responsibilities (Summary):
- Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at Walmart and Sam's Club.
- Sales Strategy: Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Product Presentation: Present and demonstrate products to Buyers/DMMs/PL Purchasing/PL Product teams, ensuring they understand the value and benefits.
- Market Analysis: Understand and help develop market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
- Collaboration with internal teams, including Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain Logistics, and, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular monthly sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for senior management.
- Customer Support/Consumer Affairs: Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by Walmart and Sam's Club to ensure customer/consumer satisfaction.
Customer Development:
- Actively drive topline sales (current and new) and margin upward in private label and brands across all categories and SKUs. Work on strategy development, product development, packaging design, in-store communication, and promotional development specific to Walmart and Sam's Club. This includes working with cross-functional colleagues as an excellent team player in Category Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, Project Management, Supply Chain, and Graphics to launch new products on time and with flawless execution.
- Ability to navigate an EDLP program (dead net) and still secure marketing tools and opportunities available at Walmart and Sam's Club to support growth strategies.
- Participate in the creation and execution of impactful programs at Walmart and Sam's Club to support sell-through initiatives. This includes endcap displays, rollbacks, sampling, and demo programs across all Nice Pak-supplied products.
Category Expertise:
Become the expert in all Walmart and Sam's Club research projects with Nice-Pak's Category teams. Take the research learnings and translate them to shopper insights that move forward the business development objectives and sell-through results.
- Be the Walmart shopper expert and communicate new market dynamics, changes in competitive mix, retail updates, and other key insights within Nice-Pak's Bentonville Sales team and cross-functional departments within Nice-Pak.
