Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud AI Architect to lead the design and delivery of advanced AI, ML, and cloud-based solutions. This role requires deep expertise in AWS architecture, enterprise solution design, AI/ML engineering, and modernization of large-scale applications. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with hands‑on experience delivering AI‑driven solutions—especially chatbots, generative AI (GenAI), and NLP models—within public‑sector environments. Candidates must be able to architect secure and ethical AI systems in hybrid and cloud environments. Required Education Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent work experience. Required Certifications AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Required) Additional cloud or AI specialty certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) Required Skills & Experience 5+ years designing applications, solution architectures, and underlying IT technologies. 10+ years overall IT experience, including 5+ years in enterprise, full life-cycle architecture roles. 5‑8 years hands‑on technical application architecture experience, including building and modernizing applications. Strong architecture and development expertise in AWS cloud environments. Experience designing solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud models. Proven ability to build secure, scalable, ethical AI/ML solutions. Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and related frameworks. Hands‑on experience developing GenAI, chatbots, and large language model (LLM) solutions. Knowledge of AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI frameworks. Ability to evaluate and recommend AI platforms, such as AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google Vertex AI, PyTorch. Experience in state and local government environments is a plus. Key Responsibilities Architect, design, and deliver advanced AI/ML solutions across cloud and hybrid infrastructures. Lead modernization initiatives, including application rebuilds and cloud‑native transformation. Define solution architecture and evaluate alternatives for cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) deployment models. Build secure, compliant, and responsible AI systems aligned with public‑sector regulations. Design GenAI and chatbot solutions using modern AI/ML frameworks and LLM architectures. Provide expert guidance on AI ethics, responsible AI, and bias mitigation. Recommend AI tools, frameworks, and platforms based on business and technical needs. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, translating complex AI concepts into actionable technical solutions. Ensure architectures meet scalability, resiliency, and performance standards.
