Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Research Administration, the Financial Coordinator will assist with the management of sponsored project finances through the use of ARC, PAC, FINSYS, and other university financial systems. The Financial Coordinator will perform financial transactions, including purchasing, accounts payable, invoicing, journal entries, and financial reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Assists in monitoring and review/reconciliation of budgets; analyzes specific issues, and budget modification requests;
- Purchasing and accounts payable oversight and serving as the division's point of contact for both internal and external inquiries;
- Communicating effectively with Faculty, Section Administrators, and Senior Management to provide the status of items in the workflow and prioritize as needed;
- Develop and maintain tracking spreadsheets for sub-awards;
- Process and monitor all expenses being allocated to sponsored projects and unrestricted projects, ensuring that transactions are in compliance;
- Keep abreast of new grant-related policies and procedures.
- Provide support on special projects.
- Perform other job-related duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
