Job SummaryThe Principal Cybersecurity Architect uses transportation and aviation industry experience to blend deep technical expertise in security architecture with strategic leadership in policy development and enterprise-wide architectural influence. This role is a bridge between technical cybersecurity teams and IT business focused leadership, influencing IT strategy through a security lens while mentoring less experienced architects, strengthening the organization’s overall security posture.ResponsibilitiesGuideprojects and IT security designs to ensure robust and cybersecurity compliant solutions, creates and evolves architectural patterns that align with global security standards and addresses the evolving threat landscape.Develop and enforce security architecture policies, providing oversight across diverse projects, and ensuring security controls are integrated into technology solutions in line with business objectives.As principal security advisor, review and influence solution designs and implementation plans to meet enterprise policies and risk tolerance.Track emerging threats and technologies to keep security architecture ahead of the curve.Translate strategic security principles into actionable architectural guidance.Lead assessments of enterprise-wide architecture to strengthen the overall security posture.Monitor and review emerging cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and regulatory developments to continuously improve policies, patterns, and architectural standards.Champion a culture of security innovation, pragmatism, and continuous improvement in how the organization addresses cybersecurity challenges across geographiesEnsure security architectural designs align with global data protection regulations and compliance requirements.Design, maintain, evolve reusable security architectural patterns that enable secure-by-design practices across cloud and on-prem environments.Participate in architecture anddesitn reviews of critical IT and digital transformation projects.Guide and mentor less experienced security architects.Collaborate with the Risk Management and Governance and Compliance teams to define, refine, and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and control frameworks, ensuring alignment to NIST CSF and ISO 27001.Minimum RequirementsCollege degree or equivalalent exp.Cybersecurity certifications I.e. : CISSP, CISM, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.10years in cybersecurity, 5insecurity architecture &design.Alignsecurity programs &architectures with industry standards & frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO / IEC 27001)compliance requirements (e.g., Payment Card Industry).Design & securehybrid IT environments (on-premises &cloud services) across multi-cloud (Azure / AWS) &on-prem systems.Exposure to highly regulated, safety-critical industries (e.g., aviation or transportation).Expertise in cloud security architecture on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).In-depth understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and controls (especially NIST CSF and ISO 27001 standards).Fluency in modern attacker Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and strong threat modelling skills, enabling proactive design of defenses against emerging cyber threats.Skilled in conducting security architecture assessments and producing high-quality security reference architecture and design patterns that guide development and IT operations teams in secure solution delivery.Familiarity with global compliance and data protection requirements &how to incorporate into security designs &recommendations.Minimal international travel.Physical Requirements / Working ConditionsRemain in a stationary position 50% of the time.Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.Walk short distances.
