**Job Title: Tank Inspector****Job Description**We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tank Inspector with over 3 years of experience in HM 183 inspections. The primary responsibility includes performing HM 183 inspections of tank trailers and tank trucks, ensuring compliance with all state and government regulations. This role requires the timely and accurate completion of all necessary paperwork and the application of accurate decals to trailers. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience or completion of trade school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience as a trailer mechanic. Additionally, candidates should possess their own general set of tools and be proficient with shop tools and test equipment. Extensive knowledge of heavy trailer repairs in a commercial environment is essential to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency. The ideal candidate will have the ability to keep up with changing technology and updates, possess mechanical ability, and have an interest in fleet maintenance, electronics, computer systems, and liquid bulk transferring equipment. Physical requirements include the strength and stamina to work with heavy equipment and perform activities such as walking, lifting up to 100lbs, twisting, turning, standing for long periods, and climbing ladders. A valid CDL and acceptable MVR are required if driving heavy equipment on public roads, and CDL holders must be registered with the FMCSA and possess a valid medical card. The role demands a highly motivated, clean, and organized individual with a strong work ethic and good problem-solving skills, capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities. Candidates must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, and procedures, and be willing to work in any weather condition, with potential overtime and flexible work schedules. A pre-employment strength test, drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and a check are required.
