Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Location: Northridge CA
Shift: 1st shift
Pay: $21 - Full Time, Weekly Pay
Job Duties:
- Daily activities will be a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties, as well as interactions with key stakeholders from Supply Chain and Operations.
- Hazmat training and experience is recommended.
- Daily tasks will include using a ERP computer system to properly receive and ship items so that contractual requirements are met.
- The ability to learn the ERP system quickly is a must.
- Candidate must follow shipping practices and transportation routing, schedules, and requirements per published procedures.
- Other tasks include: receiving incoming materials or preparing materials for shipment. Unpacks or unwraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
- Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.
Requirements:
- Candidate should have 2-3 year’s experience in Shipping/Receiving activities and be a US Citizen.
- Active Security clearance is a bonus, but not necessary to start.
- Must have experience in operating a forklift and other types of freight moving equipment.
- Should be able to lift heavy objects, up to 30-45 lbs.
