This is a Seattle based position.About YouWe are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The Quality Control Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and evaluations to identify defects and deviations, as well as maintaining thorough records of your findings. We are willing to train the right person.What Will Be ExpectedThis is a fast-paced job that requires you to stand and work in a cold and wet environment. The temperature inside of the processing area may vary in range and can be as low as 40 degrees.Work ScheduleWe need people who can meet the attendance requirements which may include weekend work and overtime. You must be willing and able to work extended hours and weekends, in peak periods, as needed.Candidates must be able to work between the below hours.1st Shift: 4:00 am - 4:00 pm2nd Shift: 3:00 pm - 3:00 amHours can extend past these times and workers are expected to work until the job is finished.Experience and SkillsJob DutiesAs a Quality Control Technician, you will test and inspect products at various stages of production process. Job duties will include the following:Perform thorough inspections of products, materials, or processes to identify defects and non-conformities.Conduct various tests and measurements to assess product quality using appropriate tools and equipment.Document inspection findings, recording defects and issues, and maintaining detailed records.Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company-specific quality control guidelines.Select random samples from production batches for inspection.Communicate inspection results to relevant personnel and collaborate on necessary actions.Identify root causes of defects and work with others to develop solutions.Provide feedback to improve processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall product quality.Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment for accuracy.Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, safety guidelines, and maintain a clean and organized work environmentPerform other duties as assigned.We process a variety of different food products including shellfish. You should not have any known shellfish allergies.Qualifications:HACCP Certification a plusHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to read, write, and communicate in English (Basic Level)Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accuratelyBasic understanding of quality control principles and practicesAbility to use equipment and instruments effectivelyGood problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a teamGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenBasic knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand constantly; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and climb stairs. The employee must regularly lift and or move between 25-50 lbs. and occasionally lift between 50-75 lbs. Some positions may require heavier lifting.Work EnvironmentThe employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Job BenefitsSalary DisclosureThe hourly pay range for this role is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour.
