Many of the components under test are operating during testing (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic) and the Technician will assist with setup and data acquisition.

Salary: $25-$30/hr

Responsibilities:
  • Sets up and performs tests ranging from temperature extremes to hurricane wind and rain
  • Collects data manually and through use of data acquisition system
  • Reports results using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of test standards, product test procedures, and instrumentation
  • Accurately observes and records test progression and results. Organizes and documents data for each assigned project

This is a fast-paced environment, and we need someone who is proactive, self-motivated and a team player. The person for this role will be a specialist in their field, respected by all who they work with, keen to learn and enthusiastic in the face of challenge.

  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent in electronics, automation, process controls, or robotics from two year college or technical school plus one (1) to two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Hydraulics / pneumatics experience a plus. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Knowledge of test standards RTCA/DO-160 and MIL-STD-810, ASTM a plus
  • Familiarity with data acquisition, pressure transducers, thermocouples, flow meters
  • Knowledge of vibration testing and test software a plus (accelerometers, data acquisition, VR software)
