Position Overview We are seeking an experienced software engineer with expertise in the Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems (JAUS) to develop and integrate software for a robotic subsystem. The robotic system must communicate with the main platform and other connected systems, following JAUS standards for interoperability. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing JAUS-compliant messaging, ensuring seamless integration between all components of the system. Our Company SAVIT Corporation is a dynamic munition and armament systems, engineering, and manufacturing firm that provides full life-cycle systems support and rapid technology maturation solutions by embedding our engineers in the manufacturing process, providing hands-on support, and addressing problems in real time. For over 30 years, our mission has been to challenge assumptions about how warfighter products should be developed and built. Constantly evolving the status quo to provide products that perform at the point of extreme need. SAVIT believes developing products for production begins during the prototyping phase. Our philosophy is to develop engineered solutions while establishing the processes and supply chains required for successful transition of a product from development to production. We excel in solving the challenges that are essential for next-generation military capabilities. SAVIT provides modern and agile solutions for design, analysis, manufacture, integration, testing, evaluation, processing, production, and demilitarization of critical munitions and weapon systems. SAVIT is a driving force in the development, rapid prototyping, and production of next generation ammunition, mortars, artillery, weapon systems, area denial technologies, fire control, demolitions, grenades, robotic vehicles, fuzes, kinetic and non-kinetic effects, EOD robotics and equipment, demilitarization technologies, munition accessories and packaging solutions. At SAVIT, we enjoy the benefits of working in a collaborative environment of close-knit team members. We offer competitive benefits and compensation packages to include PTO, Sick and Holiday time off (all federal holidays in addition to a few company-wide days), 401K program with company match and Medical, Dental and Vision benefits. Responsibilities Develop JAUS-compliant software modules for robotic system control and subsystem communication. Implement messaging between the robotic system, the main platform control system, and other system interfaces. Work with hardware and mechanical engineering teams to define control and feedback requirements. Develop simulation and test environments for validating communication protocols. Ensure compliance with relevant MIL-STD-6016, SAE AS-4 JAUS standards, and project-specific requirements. Provide and support technical documentation development, including interface control documents (ICDs), API references, and compliance reports. Support integration, debugging, and field testing.
