Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking an Operations Manager with an unyielding passion for creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.


As an Operations Manager you will be at the helm of our indoor 50,000sq ft entertainment facility established in 2006 that boasts 7 activities, a 35 game arcade, restaurant, bar and event center. You will be hands on overseeing daily operations, managing our Shift Supervisors and staff members. You will organize reservation game play, party operations, oversee kitchen and bar operations, follow opening and closing procedures, answer guest questions, ensure great experiences and complete sales all with keeping safety, customer service and cleanliness a priority.

·        Oversee the management of Supervisors and Attraction Team Members. Guide them in delivering exceptional guest service throughout our facility.

·        Set clear objectives and provide guidance to subordinates, ensuring our activities operate seamlessly.

·        Complete duties such as scheduling, running social media, create training systems, book parties and events and other tasks.

·        Conduct daily inspections of the facility to ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks to keep our attractions in top-notch condition.

·        Train staff on safety measures and ensure rules are upheld.

·        Work together with management team to maintain accurate employee personnel files through written and verbal communications and handle any necessary disciplinary actions.

·        Uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and cleanliness in accordance with regulations.

·        Ensure compliance with operational standards and company policies.

·        Inspire and motivate the team, fostering a positive work environment rooted in excellence. Maintain our values and contribute to a positive work environment.

·        Lead by example, exhibiting professionalism, creativity, and a commitment to exceptional service.

·        Delegate daily tasks and checklists tasks to Shift Supervisors and staff members empowering them to take ownership and pride in responsibilities.

·        Work closely with the General Manager and take on any additional tasks assigned.

·        Support kitchen staff and events hosts in any way necessary.

·        Be part of our staff hiring process to acquire talented individuals who share our passion for fun and exceptional service. Take part in the process of interviewing, orientation and training of new staff members.

·        Foster personal and professional growth by continuously expanding operations, activities, and business knowledge.

·        Stay informed about industry trends and seek opportunities for development.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to lead your team, engage with guests, and complete bookings.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure seamless operations.
  • Must possess strong leadership and people management skills to motivate, inspire, and help maintain a powerful team environment.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize guest needs first, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have professional, clean appearance, act in a professional and courteous demeanor that represents Battlegroundz mission statement.
  • Be a positive team player with the ability to motivate others towards achieving shared goals.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Possessing any of the following certifications are preferred: ServSafe, S.T.O.P, TIPS, Allergen Awareness, CPR, De-escalation, gun safety certifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in the attractions, FEC, food & beverage and/or hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in cash handling, using a POS, and basic math skills is a must have.
  • Must have proficiency in Gmail, Gmail Calendar, Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
  • Must be able to compose response emails to customers using proper language and spelling.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and obtain a clean BCI check.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to embrace change and meet the demands of a dynamic environment.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Being bilingual is a plus.
