Project Engineer

OverviewHendrickson is searching for a Project Engineer to be responsible for managing all technical aspects of assigned projects. This role is part of the Truck Commercial Vehicle Systems division in Woodridge, IL.ResponsibilitiesManage all technical aspects of multiple and / or major projects utilizing the Product Planning and Development Procedure.Designs, validates, provides test reports and sign-off documents, and ensures production readiness.Coordinates with CAD, FEA and laboratory personnel and interfaces with other departments in support of the above.Coordinates the technical design and test aspects on projects with suppliers and customers.Provides continuous improvement through employee development, process improvement and elimination of waste.Helps to assure safety in the lab and office.QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in technical discipline required.BSME / BSAgE / BSAeroE preferred.4-6 years\' experience in vehicle structural design (preferable heavy or medium duty truck) with exposure to dynamic structural analysis, finite element analysis, fatigue analysis, and product design.Demonstrated product innovation.SolidWorks CAD experience preferred.Experience working with independent suspensions a plus.Project management experience preferredDemonstrated ability to meet product development deadlines.Physical DemandsFrequent sitting and working at computer for extended periods of time.Occasional standing and walking on concrete.Occasional climbing stairs and fixed / vertical ladders.Ability to lift and carry up to 60lbs.Ability to push / pull carts (minimal 25lbs) and parts (minimal 60lbs).Ability to drive as required.Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to MT. Vernon, MO is required.Salary and BenefitsIn accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the salary range for this position is $95,500-$135,000. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, qualifications, and other job-related criteria.
