Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) will assist one or more physical therapists in evaluating and providing treatment to help patients recover from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments.

*Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) tasks will include, but not limited to:* * Prepares patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercise, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment. * Record patient's reaction to treatment and provides status reports at the end of each treatment. * Making modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to help the patient progress or to ensure patient safety and comfort. * Use devices, such as walkers, and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
*Qualifications* * Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology * Previous experience in acute care and sub-acute care * Ability to work with diverse patient populations, including geriatrics * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
