Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $106,000.00/yr Additional compensation: Annual Bonus Summary The Electronic Engineer II has technical experience for the design, integration and completion of engineering activities. They are responsible for multiple product designs at various stages of development and need to be confident in their designs and decisions. They need to demonstrate autonomous decision-making ability and expedite issues as appropriate. Duties/Responsibilities Design and implement for harsh environments with stringent EMI/BCI requirements. Develop moderately complex product concepts in response to customer inquiries, sales requests, and RFQs. Represent the Electrical Engineering function within cross-functional teams (CFTs) to evaluate feasibility, cost, and timing of proposed concepts. Translate design concepts into manufacturable, high-quality products that meet performance and cost objectives. Lead/participate in DFMEA, DFM/DFA, concept design reviews, and critical design reviews. Integrate optimized manufacturing processes into product concepts and designs. Diagnose and resolve complex circuit issues and provide effective countermeasures for customer system problems. Serve as a technical liaison with customers and suppliers to address design, performance, and quality issues. Oversee the completion of all engineering deliverables for New Product Development (NPD) projects, escalating issues when necessary. Mentor and guide junior engineers. Develop and improve engineering design standards, best practices, tolerances, testing, etc. Build 1–2 areas of specialized technical expertise aligned with company product lines or technologies. Apply effective problem solving as part of NPS or other systemic issues. Requirements Education: BSEE or BSEET. ~3-5 years of relevant and progressive experience or relevant industry experience. Electrical design aptitude and ability / desire to be hands on in all aspects of the job. Ability to utilize schematic capture and PCB layout applications to create and verify designs. Knowledge of CAN/CAN bus, serial communication controls, or other serial types of integrated firmware. Understand phase gate NPD processes. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects.
