The role of a Manager, Development is to lead teams of software developers to ship reliable code on a consistent basis. You will be responsible for overseeing teams of software developers in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software programs & applications. You will also collaborate with other managers and stakeholders to ensure that the software products meet the business objectives, security requirements, and customer needs.We are looking for a Manager, Development to empower, inspire, and support a talented team of engineers. You will use your technical and leadership experience to coach and mentor your team, making sure that they create and deliver products that will delight our customers.ResponsibilitiesEnsure the team follows best practices and meets quality and performance standardsIdentify and address factors inhibiting the efficiency and effectiveness of development processesReview technical specifications and contribute to the development of high quality, pragmatic solutions that fulfill complex business requirementsPlan and lead estimation for upcoming projects and determine the right people/team to tackle the projectWork with other leaders to publish and monitor metricsEvaluate and select appropriate tools, technologies, and methodologies for software developmentSet goals and expectations for the software development team and provide guidance and feedbackSet employee expectations, hold yearly reviews, and guide career advancement.Review technical specifications and contribute to the development of high quality, pragmatic solutions that fulfill complex business requirementsWork under a variety of pressures while utilizing excellent time management skillsDemonstrate commitment to our core values and team environmentExpectationsEffective in managing responsibilities in high-stress situationsGiven the 24/7 nature of the payments industry and our client base across North America, this role requires the flexibility to support operations outside standard 9–5 business hoursQualificationsRequired7+ years of direct software development experience with an object-oriented or functional programming language2+ years of leadership experience in an Agile environment2+ years of supervising direct reportsExperience working with teams on a remote basisExperience with full Software Development Life CyclePreferredExperience in the payments industryExperience with embedded systemsFamiliarity with Linux, Git, Docker, and AWSDemonstrated professional experience with Elixir or RubyLocationThis position will be hybrid 3x a week in Atlanta, GA (1155 Perimeter Center West).What It's Like to Work at Euna SolutionsHere are some of the perks that Euna employees enjoy:Competitive wagesWellness daysCommunity Engagement CommitteeFlexible workdayBenefitsCulture committeeAbout Euna SolutionsEuna Solutions is a leading provider of purpose-built, cloud-based software that helps public sector and government organizations streamline procurement, budgeting, payments, grants management, and special education administration.We believe in embracing new perspectives and optimizing impact.
