**Job Title:** Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

**Job Specialty:** Surgical Services

**Job Duration:** 12 weeks

**Shift:** Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 - 17:00)

**Guaranteed Hours:** The facility is allowed to call off one shift per two weeks.

**Experience:** 2 years required

**License:** South Carolina RN License preferred in hand. Candidates with a pending license will be considered with proof of application or completion of the walk-through process.

**Certifications:** NBSTSA, BLS

**Must-Have:**
- Radiation badge provided by agency
- Ability to take on-call shifts up to 4 times every 4 weeks
- Willingness to work one working weekend shift every 4 weeks
- Willingness to work during specified holiday periods

**Job Description:**
- Work in a level-one, academic trauma center with 21 operating room suites.
- Cover all surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics.
- Collaborate with a team consisting of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists.
- Manage a busy and dynamic nurse-driven department designated as a Magnet hospital.
- Handle emergency response duties during hurricane season as needed.
- Accommodate floating within scope and between similar units or sister facilities to meet facility needs.

**Additional Information:**
- Hospital is a teaching facility and a Level I trauma center with 820 total staffed beds.
- Charting performed using EPIC.
- Flu vaccine required; medical or religious exemptions considered.
