Job Summary
Provide technical support assistance with hardware and software related to condition monitoring systems, also supporting Project Managers in carrying out technical tasks associated with the installation and commissioning of these systems.Â
  • Respond to helpdesk calls concerning existing systems and hardware
  • Provide onsite hardware and software support and troubleshooting
  • Verify proper installation of field wiring and sensor installation
  • Assist with onsite system commissioning: site acceptance testing, and post start up support to client
  • Travel required 30-50%, up to 75% and may include weekends
Requirements
  • Two-year degree in electronics, Information Systems or relevant field OR equivalent training or experience can be substitutedÂ
  • Must be able to do Networking inside cabinet
  • Three years' experience in field, preferably in refining or petrochemical, or similarÂ
  • Two years installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repair of low voltage (24VDC, 120VAC) instrumentation and computer related equipment
  • Must have working knowledge troubleshooting computer equipment and networks utilizing TCP/IP Protocols
  • Extensive knowledge using test equipment such as digital multi-meter, 4-20ma signal generator, and oscilloscopeÂ
  • Familiar with reciprocating compressor or centrifugal compressor operations is highly preferredÂ
  • Read and understand electrical loop diagrams and P&ID diagrams
  • Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of rotating equipment monitoring equipment is a big plus
  • MODBUS & OPC protocol and experience with data communications to DCS/PLC Systems
