**Job Specialty:** Outpatient Pediatrics - Urgent Care
**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks
**Shift:** Day 5x7.5-Hour (12:30 - 19:30); Night 5x7.5-Hour (17:00 - 00:30)
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours guaranteed weekly, may work up to 40 hours, including weekends and holidays
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years ER/ICU and triage experience; 1 year Pediatric ER triage or 2 years Adult ER triage preferred; travel experience preferred; previous Children's Hospital experience is highly desired
**License:** California RN License required
**Certifications:** BLS and PALS required
**Must-Have:**
- Experience in Emergency Department or Urgent Care (pediatric or adult)
- Familiarity with computerized charting; EPIC preferred
- Ability to perform sedations
**Job Description:**
- Apply the nursing process independently through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of pediatric patient care.
- Select and administer appropriate care considering the age, developmental level, and size of the patient.
- Provide a caring relationship that promotes health and healing.
- Identify own limitations and seek resources as needed.
- Responsibilities include:

- Facilitation of Learning and Clinical Inquiry

- Work primarily in the designated home site but may need to float among 6 Urgent Care sites as part of the department's operations.
- Participate in a rotation of shifts including weekends and holidays as required.
- Complete all mandatory modules before start; Orientation consists of 12 hours.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic Urgent Care environment, providing excellent care to pediatric patients.
