**Job Description:**

- Assist surgical team members during operative procedures.
- Arrange and inventory sterile setups for surgery and pass items as needed to the operating team.
- Participate in preparing and moving patients and cleaning the operating room.
- Prepare the surgical suite, supplies, and equipment to meet environmental safety and infection control standards.
- Ensure the integrity of sterile packaging and control environmental factors.
- Regularly check equipment and supplies for proper working order.
- Adhere to disinfection and sterilization techniques per policies to maintain a sterile field.
- Perform responsibilities as a surgical scrub for preoperative care.
- Assist with surgical procedures and anticipate surgeons' needs by passing instruments.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Identify, correct, and report aseptic technique breaks.
- Assist registered nurses with patient preparation, transfers, and counting procedures.
- Adhere to safety and infection control requirements and procedures.
- Participate in the time-out process and notify personnel of potentially unsafe conditions.
- Demonstrate competent usage of body mechanics.
- Complete incident documentation timely, identifying potentially unsafe conditions.
- Understand emergency procedures and provide appropriate support.
- Participate in quality and safety activities.
- Promote a positive working environment; provide orientation and training.
- Maintain, review, and order additional inventory.
- Assist with room turnover, cleanup, patient transporting, and positioning.
- Make recommendations for policy and procedure enhancements.
- Demonstrate job knowledge, technical skills, productivity, and dependability.
- Communicate effectively and provide customer service.
- Work effectively as part of a team, employing judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, stress management, initiative, and innovation.
