**Shift:** Day - 12x3 - 07AM - 07PM
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience
**License:** Yes, required to submit
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
**Must-Have:** Flexible scheduling, willingness to float
**Job Description:**
- Work in a 33-bed ICU unit with an average daily census of 16 patients.
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:2-3 for adults, 1:2-4 for pediatrics.
- Care for patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress.
- Titrate drips, including cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips.
- Operate and troubleshoot equipment from nasal cannula to ventilators.
- Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips.
- Self-scheduling is available for core staff; additional scheduling flexibility is required.
- Work every other weekend and adhere to rotating holiday requirements.
- Be prepared to float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and possibly to Medical-Surgical units.
- Participate in a 3-shift, unit-specific orientation.
- Utilize the EPIC Charting System.
- Support available from health support techs Monday to Friday, 0800-1630.
**Additional Information:**
- This position requires adherence to a 50-mile radius rule.
- Requests for time off must be submitted upfront (7 or fewer days per 13-week contract), with no additional requests approved after submissions.
- Up to 3 shift cancellations are permitted per contract term.
