**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Emergency Room (ER)

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** Night, 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

**Guaranteed Hours:** Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without paying for the canceled hours.

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years required; first-timers accepted

**License:** Must have an active Illinois License or be in the application process with active ETA

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC

**Must-Have:**
- General Emergency Department experience, Level II Trauma Center
- Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response skills
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy skills
- Medication skills for continuous IV paralytics, sedation, and emergency medications
- Neurological, Orthopedic, Pediatric, Psychiatric, and Respiratory case skills

**Job Description:**

- Work in a 32-bed Emergency Department with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Obtain 12-lead EKGs and interpret dysrhythmias
- Care for patients with cardiac and respiratory complications, including intubated and ventilated patients
- Manage traumatic injuries, such as gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
- Triage and perform isolation precautions
- Perform pediatric and psychiatric assessments in acute scenarios
- Utilize Cerner for charting (experience preferred)
- Adhere to weekend schedules and holiday work requirements
- Aide in orientation for 16 hours, focusing on non-clinical hours modules completed virtually

This position involves floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed. The workplace is a Level II trauma center, providing acute care in a fast-paced environment. Experience as a charge nurse is preferred. Flu vaccination is required, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons.
