- Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Detail-oriented with professional interaction skills for customers, including patients, families, coworkers, and physicians.
- Compliance with all hospital protocols and procedures.
- Competence in diagnostic radiology, patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection.
- Understanding of anatomy and pathology related to procedure quality.

**Description:**
The Radiologic Technologist II is responsible for providing safe, age-appropriate care through diagnostic imaging according to the department’s procedures. They must independently perform technical procedures and operate various imaging equipment safely. Responsibilities include acting as a clinical coordinator and instructor for students, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging, and functioning in emergency situations.

**Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:**

- **Patient Care:** Obtain clinical history, administer contrast medias, verify patient identifiers, ensure patient comfort, and organize schedule priorities.
- **Equipment Operation:** Adjust techniques for minimal radiation, report equipment issues, maintain equipment cleanliness, and operate all radiographic equipment competently.
- **Education and Communication:** Explain procedures to patients and family members, address questions, and provide preparatory instructions.
- **Quality Control:** Produce high-quality images, ensure equipment functionality, and manage imaging data.
- **Operations:** Maintain orderly conditions, assist patients, perform clerical duties, and support department continuity.

Radiologic Technologist II participates in maintaining standards of regulatory agencies and adheres to all hospital policies and procedures. They are required to take call when necessary and perform additional duties as assigned.

This position requires a license in radiologic technology and certifications in ARRT Radiography and BLS. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, multitasking abilities, and the competence needed for diagnostic radiology practices.
