**Job Title:** Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist

**Shift:** Day (07:00 - 17:30)

**Guaranteed Hours:** 40.00 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in Cath Lab

**License:** ARRT Certification

**Certifications:** RCIS/RCES, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)

**Must-Have:** Fluency in English (Read, Write, Speak)

**Job Description:**

- Provide professional care in Invasive Cardiac Pediatric and Peripheral Laboratories in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe work environment and perform all job responsibilities safely.
- Maintain clinical and professional competency appropriate for patients’ ages, developmental stages, and special needs.
- Assist unit efforts in performance excellence, growth, quality, customer service, employee engagement, and community benefit.
- Represent core values of caring, commitment, integrity, teamwork, safety, communication, and service recovery.
- Support and contribute to the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy, understanding that every staff member is a caregiver tasked with meeting patient needs.
- Perform care for the comfort and well-being of the patient.
- Perform and/or assist with treatments, therapies, and procedures (including scrub assistant, monitoring, and circulating) under the physician's direction.
- Administer medication under the direct supervision of the physician.
- Document a current clinical picture and record designated information in the patient record.
- Respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Handle periods of prolonged concentration and critical thinking in high-pressure situations.
- Perform physical activities such as walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Lift and support the weight of 50 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Wear 10-20 lbs lead radiation protection aprons while standing and walking.
- Potentially exposed to radiation, secretions, and blood.
