**Job Title:** Sterile Processing Technician

**Job Specialty:** Surgical Services - Sterile Processing

**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks

**Shift:** Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (06:00 - 14:30) with variable shifts including some weekends

**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) field

**License:** Valid state license required

**Certifications:** CBSPD or IAHCSMM required

**Must-Have:**
- Inpatient, outpatient, and trauma setting experience
- Experience with surgery cases such as Ortho, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Gyn, Bariatrics, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, Transplant, Robotics, and Implants; Ophthalmology is preferred
- Expertise in sterilization, decontamination, assembly/wrap, case cart, HLD, and scrub procedures
- Experience using EPIC charting system

**Job Description:**
- Handle a daily caseload of 65 surgical cases and manage 1200 tray volumes
- Participate in on-call duties twice per month, including rotating weekends
- Be adaptable to a variable shift schedule, with the primary hours being 6:00 to 14:30
- Work collaboratively within a Level II Trauma Center setting
- Commit to working 3 of 5 holidays during the contract period
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, including vaccination requirements
- Successfully complete all required modules and orientation before the start date
- Actively participate in maintaining a clean and efficient SPD environment
