Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty: Acute Rehab Unit

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 12-hour nights

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: 1+ year of experience in a rehab environment preferred

License: Active RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing

Certifications: Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required

Must-Have: Experience as an RN in a rehab care setting preferred; Basic proficiency in Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft applications

Job Description:

- Protect, promote, and restore health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of RN licensure.
- Collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to coordinate care across the continuum.
- Assess and support physical symptoms, and provide psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
- Mentor assigned team members, promote best practices, and maintain a professional disposition.
- Deliver quality and competent nursing care following best practice standards and state board of nursing standards.
- Provide leadership in nursing care delivery by assessing, planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions.
- Maintain confidentiality of medical records and ensure accurate, timely, and complete documentation.
- Act autonomously while delegating responsibilities and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to advocate for patients.
- Create a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and caregivers.
- Educate patients and their families to meet health needs and promote a learning atmosphere.
- Participate in quality and process improvements to attain clinical excellence.
- Promote financial stewardship by assisting with cost reduction without sacrificing quality.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Enhance professional growth and development by participating in current evidence-based learning.
- Advocate for patients and their caregivers to positively influence value-driven and effective nursing care.
- Must be able to frequently traverse corridors and occasionally remain stationary for up to 4 hours.
- Frequently lift, move, or carry objects up to 35 pounds and occasionally position self at lower heights by stooping or squatting.
- Constant coordination of hands, fingers, feet, and eyes required.
- Complete basic math quickly and accurately and explore alternative solutions to complex problems.
- Constantly work with others, converse, be understood verbally and in written form, and negotiate or integrate different viewpoints.
- Work includes exposure to emotional stress and occasional exposure to violent or assaultive individuals.
