Position Overview:

As the Staff Accountant you will be responsible for handling the accounting duties for the company owned entities and retail accounting customers.

Responsibilities:

* Reviewing and preparing financial statements in a timely manner with accuracy
* Maintaining efficient and accurate operations for all phases of the accounting cycle including but not limited to payables, receivables, payroll, inventory, reporting etc.
* Preparing monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts and bank statements
* Recording journal entries
* Analyzing and interpreting financial information such as balance sheets, cash flow and income statements
* Preparing budgets and ad hoc analysis as needed
* Identifying and implementing process improvements
* Developing and maintaining sound internal controls and ensuring ongoing compliance
* Answering inquiries from customers by analyzing and interpreting information
* Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality practices regarding company information
* Prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously ensuring deadlines are met accordingly
* Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Environment:

* Warehouse Office - approx. 65F - 70F

Schedule:

* Monday - Friday
* Standard Business Hours

Experience:

* Preferred: One (1) - Three (3) years experience in Accounting & knowledge of GAAP
* Preferred: Bachelors degree of Science in Accounting
* Preferred: Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace etc

Skills:

* Physical abilities: Ability to stand, walk and sit throughout your day; Walking on a variety of flooring such as carpet, concrete, tile etc.
* Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis
* Organizational Skills: Ability to fulfill executive directions in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
* Working in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player
* Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards from all perspectives
* Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
