Options include ambulatory-only with limited inpatient consultation and no nights, weekends, or call coverage responsibilities. Maine Medical Partners-MaineHealth Cardiology provides patients across the state with the highest quality cardiac care, working closely with other regional hospitals to build a coordinated network of cardiology services.
Maine Medical Center has 700 licensed beds and is the state's leading tertiary hospital, with a full complement of residencies and fellowships and an integral part of the Tufts University Medical School. Long recognized as a leader in cardiac care, The Maine Medical Center Cardiovascular Institute (www.mmc.org/cardiovascular) remains on the forefront of today's most advanced treatments and procedures, and has been recognized as one of the top 100 programs in the United States. This comprehensive program provides the highest level of expertise and leading edge technology, such that patients don't need to leave the state for quality heart care. We are pleased to share that the hospital is in the process of building a five-story patient care tower dedicated to cardiovascular excellence. It will be home to 19 new procedure rooms, including several hybrid ORs, as well as 64 new private patient rooms. The building is scheduled to open in early 2023.
