Job Description

The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the Director of Pharmacy in managing the pharmacy operations. The Pharmacy Operations Manager will implement and enforce policies and procedures, supervision and training of staff, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. He/she will coordinate and direct the day-to-day services, functions, and activities of the pharmacy department in accordance with established policies, national standards and state and federal laws. He/she will have advanced responsibilities in the areas of pharmacy operations, technology and automation, medication safety, sterile compounding, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. He/she will work across the pharmacy service lines to best optimize pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• Licensed pharmacist in the state of Connecticut
• Three to five years of hospital pharmacy management experience, preferred but not required.
• Five to ten years of hospital pharmacy experience
• Must have a strong knowledge of inpatient hospital pharmacy operations.
