Role Summary

The Compliance Engineer role at MCSG resides within the Engineering department and reports to the Director of Engineering. As a Document Control and Compliance Engineer at Middleby Coffee Solutions Group. you will be responsible for managing, organizing, and controlling all documentation related to quality, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing processes. Your role will involve ensuring that the company's documentation meets industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality protocols.You'll work on interesting and challenging projects in support of our Synesso and Concordia lines of commercial espresso and bean to cup automated coffee machines.

* Establish and maintain an effective document control system for all quality and compliance-related documentation.
* Organize and categorize documents, ensuring easy retrieval and access for relevant stakeholders.
* Stay updated on industry regulations and standards and communicate applicable changes to the stakeholders.
* Ensure that all documentation aligns with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
* Work closely with product development teams to integrate compliance considerations into the design and manufacturing processes.
* Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that documentation accurately reflects quality control processes and procedures.
* Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to established quality and safety standards.
* Prepare for and participate in regulatory audits and inspections, ensuring all necessary documentation is readily available and in compliance.
* Manage the process of obtaining and renewing certifications (NSF, UL, ETL, CE, CB Scheme, etc) for our coffee machines.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to address any issues or modifications required to meet compliance standards.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements related to document control and compliance.
* Work with cross-functional teams to implement changes and enhance efficiency.
* Implement and manage a change control process for documentation to track and document changes accurately.
* Ensure that changes comply with regulatory requirements.
* Proactively address any non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
* Develop training programs on document control and compliance procedures.
* Ability to be on-site at the location is required.
* Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance engineering, preferably in consumer appliance or electronics industries.
* Proven experience in document control and compliance management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
* Familiarity with NSF and related certifications for commercial appliances.
* Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring product safety and quality.
* Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional team.
