Quality Control Microbiology analysts perform a variety of microbiological responsibilities including but not limited, to clean room and utility monitoring as well as raw material, in-process, and product testing in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cGMP/FDA regulation. This position will primarily be responsible for performing laboratory-based testing.

What you need to know:
  • Pay Rate: $21.00-26.00, depending upon education level and experience level
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
  • On-site: Rensselaer
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline; may substitue relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries preferred
On a typical day you will:

  • Microbiological qualification of consumables, reagents, and media.

  • Sterilization of testing and sampling parts using an autoclave.
  • Training of employees.
  • Peer review of data.
  • Maintaining laboratory supplies, media, and reagents as well as laboratory cleanliness

  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Deviation Management Systems, and Learning Management Systems.
