05/20/2024Lake Forest Elementary School District 67 is seeking August Summer School Learning Behavior Specialists 1 (5-8). The compensation is $50/hour and $25/hour. Please see the attached Summer School schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the special education teacher for assigned students
  • Implements IEP goals and objectives and accommodations
  • Plans lessons and prepares instructional materials
  • Presents lessons effectively
  • Provides for differences of individuals and groups
  • Evaluates student achievement effectively
  • Interacts with students in a manner that encourages respectful relationships among students and teachers
  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations with staff
  • Works cooperatively with school personnel to benefit students
  • Communicates effectively with parents to enhance the learning process by responding to or initiating parent contacts in a timely, professional and constructive manner
  • Executes Board of Education and building policies and procedures

Qualifications:
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I endorsement
