Job Description

Job Summary

Undergraduate Research Assistant is expected to perform academic research under the direction of a faculty member or related to the Computer Science filed and the grant activities and encouraged to disseminate their results at professional conferences and journals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Students are required to submit a final report that follow a standardized Journal publication format in that field.
  • The assigned work might change based on need.

Minimum Requirements
  • Current Texas A&M International University Student in STEM-related discipline.
  • Enroll at least half time.
  • Maintain an overall GPA of a 2.0.

Other Requirements
  • Write an essay describing your academic and career goals and how an undergraduate research position will help you achieve these goals? What is your availability to work part-time?

Evaluation Process
  • Evaluations are processed at the end of each long semester (Fall and Spring).
  • Immediate supervisor will be conducting the evaluation.
  • Evaluation will be submitted to the Office of Financial aid for review and approval. It will then be routed to Human Resources for filing in the employee's personnel file.

Salary: $12.50 per hour (10 hours weekly)

All positions are security-sensitive. Applicants are subject to a criminal history investigation, and employment is contingent upon the institution's verification of credentials and/or other information required by the institution's procedures, including the completion of the criminal history check.
