Responsibilities

HealthCare Program Specialist (20hr to 29hr)

Day-to-Day Tasks of Position:

This position is in a high-volume production environment and will be responsible for processing healthcare provider applications for enrollment in the New York State Medicaid program while ensuring compliance with State and federal laws, regulations, and policies. This position may also process revalidations for enrollment and maintenance transactions. Once proficient with these tasks, the incumbent may be asked to assist with special projects or a specific function such as audits, training, fingerprinting, processing waivers, etc. More specifically, this position will:

* Review provider enrollment documents for completeness; document, request and follow up on missing information; verify information by searching internal databases and navigating the internet to access external databases;
* Perform data entry, including saving data and verifying saved data;
* Create and maintain documentation; and
* Assist providers and their representatives with the enrollment process, both via telephone and in writing.
* In addition, this position may:
* Assign transactions to staff, train provider enrollment staff, and/or perform quality assurance on transactions;
* Develop and implement training materials and analytic tools.
* Perform as a team lead for up to five employees.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

* Two (2) years' experience in an office setting performing tasks other than direct patient care
* Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, navigation and data entry
* Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize work assignments
* Thorough attention to detail
* Ability to be flexible, innovative and work independently with minimal supervision and as a team lead or supervisor
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to respond to internal and external calls/inquiries with accuracy and in a professional manner

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience (other than direct patient care) in health care, health insurance and/or the public or non-profit sectors
* Previous data entry and data validation experience
* Previous customer service, training, and/or presentation experience
* Previous experience with analytic tools and reporting

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $19.00 hr - $24.00. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
