Night shift Nursing Supervisor

Responsible for providing management support to nurses and float staff. Interprets and monitors compliance with administrative and nursing policies, procedures, and standards. Acts as an administrative resource and liaison to Bethany Village campus and communicates with the on-call administrator as appropriate. The major responsibilities require the use of independent judgment.
Schedule: Saturday 8p-8a, Sunday 8p-8a and Monday 12p-8a 32hours/week
Pay Range: $33-39/ hour based on experience
Position Duties and Performance Criteria:
- Makes rounds on patients/residents with a significant change and/or an incident/accident occurrence to provide continuity of communication at the Management level and to ensure that appropriate interventions are in place, policies and procedures have been followed and correct documentation in place.
- Monitors quality of nursing care through interaction with staff, patients/residents, family members, and physicians.
- Reviews nursing care and documentation in critical situations (e.g., fall with injury, death, resuscitation, etc.).
- Serves as a clinical resource and/or support to staff for the provision of nursing care.
- Serves as a clinical and administrative resource to independent-living residents in emergency situations.
- Participates in Quality assurance/Quality Improvement activities related to resident care (e.g., audits, Action Team participation, etc.).
- Participates in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating resident care standards.
- Maintains a safe environment for patients/residents.
- Monitors nursing staffs' adherence to nursing and Bethany Village policies, procedures and standards.
- Mentors/counsel nursing staff when behavior or practice deviates from established policies, procedures and/or standards.
- Participates in Medicare and insurance notifications of coverage.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio. CPR certification. Strong clinical skills preferred. Possesses knowledge of the assessment process (MDS+, RAPs, POC) and computer entry. Demonstrates strong management and team-building skill. Possesses knowledge in regulatory aspects of long-term/subacute/dementia care. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Evidence of continuing education.
Minimum Experience: Minimum of one (1) year nursing management experience in long-term nursing required; three (3) years preferred with demonstrated leadership abilities.
