Assistant Athletic Director

Essential Functions -
* Assist with supervising all athletic programs for Hutchinson Community
* Assist with scheduling athletic events for HutchCC athletic programs.
* Assist with NJCAA compliance and eligibility.

involved with athletics.
* Assist with orientation and mentoring new

QUALIFICATIONS (Essential):
* Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
* Experience serving as an Athletic Director or Assistant Athletic Director preferred.
* The ability to establish and maintain professional work relationships with many people.
* Physical requirements include excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills; visual acuity to view a computer terminal; this position is rated at the medium level with both an indoor/outdoor work environment; understand words and respond effectively and appropriately; use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations.
* Mental requirements include the ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions about the position.
* Physical and mental qualifications must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
* The qualifications listed are guidelines for selection purposes; alternative qualifications may be substituted if sufficient to perform the duties.
SALARY and STATUS:
The salary is commensurate with qualifications as determined by HutchCC administration. This full-time administrative staff position is benefit eligible, at-will, and exempt.
The hired candidate will be required to submit official, non-issued to student, transcripts.
HutchCC CSA Job Description Addendum:
Satisfy the duties of a Campus Security Authority (CSA) relating to Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act ("Clery Act") by:
* Promptly reporting Clery Act crimes and/or allegations of Clery Act crimes to the designated HutchCC official(s) in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures;
* Completing any HutchCC provided CSA training regarding campus safety and crime reporting issues;
* Assisting in the issuance of timely warnings and emergency notifications in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures;
* Serving as a resource to students, employees, and others regarding crime prevention, reporting and victim assistance; and
* Collaborating with the Coordinator of Campus Safety, the Coordinator of Equity & Compliance, and the Director of Human Resources, regarding campus safety and compliance issues.
* A professional counselor, as designated by HutchCC and whose official responsibilities
include providing mental health counseling to members of the HutchCC community,
may be exempt from reporting Clery Act crimes and/or allegations of Clery Act crimes
when functioning within the scope of the counselor's license or certification.
