Overview

To be part of our organization, every employee should understand and share in the YNHHS Vision, support our Mission, and live our Values. These values - integrity, patient-centered, respect, accountability, and compassion - must guide what we do, as individuals and professionals, every day.

At Bridgeport Hospital, we are committed to providing quality medical care and treatment that is coordinated and centered on the patient's specific needs. All employees of Bridgeport Hospital are part of the patients care team and contribute to the team approach of promoting access, continuous, comprehensive care and work to provide quality improvement in the care provided to their patients.

Child First is an evidence-based, early childhood intervention that helps families build strong, nurturing relationships that protect and heal young children from the impact of trauma and chronic stress. Child First uses a two-pronged approach in the family's home: (1) Care coordination that provides wrap-around services and supports for the whole family and (2) Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), an attachment-based, trauma-informed, dyadic intervention. The Child First National Program Office (NPO) oversees and supports the local affiliate agencies, such as Bridgeport Hospital, that are authorized to implement the Child First model. Summary of Position: The Clinician partners with the Care Coordinator to provide services to families who are referred to Child First. The Clinician provides a dyadic, trauma-based intervention that focusses on strengthening the caregiver-child relationship while maintaining Child First's reflective relationship-based stance.
