Job Description:
The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks of complex scope and nature in one or more of the following areas: plumbing, carpentry, painting, air conditioning, equipment, production, and N/C machinery.
Responsibilities:
* Remove, repair, or relocate machine parts; install air and water lines.
* Align and adjust machines for production operation.
* Diagnose defects and perform repair and preventive maintenance to various types of hydraulic equipment, machine tools, building plumbing, and related equipment.
* Construct, install, maintain, repair, and overhaul test stands, fixtures, and related hydraulic equipment.
* Set up and operate arc and acetylene welding equipment.
* Plan, layout and construct additions, partitions, benches, shipping boxes, and other carpentry.
* Assist in planning the sequence of operations and methods to be used in overhaul and repair.
* Check and calibrate new or rebuilt equipment after installation.
* Identify and repair numerically controlled machine malfunctions.
* Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and mechanical operations for proper operation.
* Use precision test equipment.
* May work with computers and computer software to create and operate programs, reports, and spreadsheets.
* Coordinate the purchase, inventory delivery, and pickup of hazardous material and maintain a current inventory of on-site chemicals.
* Coordinate packaging, labeling, storing, and scheduling pickup of hazardous waste for offsite disposal.
* Maintain accurate records of all hazardous waste shipped offsite. Initiate compliance inspections.
* Advise and assist in clean‐up of chemical spills.
* Provide technical assistance on hazardous materials compliance and safe practices.
* Perform other related responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
* High school diploma/GED
* 5+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment
Skills and Knowledge:
* Proficiency with pump and valve overhaul procedures, especially aerospace-associated equipment.
* Ability to work from blueprints and sketches.
* Ability to set up and operate carpentry, hand, and power tools. May require working knowledge of national, state, and local electrical codes.
* Knowledge of general hydraulics technology, i.e., pumps, cylinders, accumulators, filters, & and piping, tube bending, and piping fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic applications.
* Knowledge of chemicals and their characteristics.
* Knowledge of computer and computer software to operate programs, create reports, and spreadsheets.
* Required to lift up to 35 pounds.
* May require forklift operator certification.
* Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Descripción del trabajo:
El Técnico Superior de Mantenimiento es responsable de realizar una variedad de tareas de mantenimiento y reparación de alcance y naturaleza complejos en una o más de las siguientes áreas: plomería, carpintería, pintura, aire acondicionado, equipos, producción y maquinaria N/C.
Responsabilidades:
* Quitar, reparar o reubicar piezas de la máquina; instalar líneas de aire y agua.
* Alinear y ajustar máquinas para operación de producción.
* Diagnostica defectos y realiza reparación y mantenimiento preventivo de varios tipos de equipos hidráulicos, máquinas herramientas, plomería de edificios y equipos relacionados.
* Construye, instala, mantiene, repara y revisa bancos de pruebas, accesorios y equipos hidráulicos relacionados.
* Configurar y operar equipos de soldadura por arco y acetileno.
* Planificar, diseñar y construir ampliaciones, particiones, bancos, cajas de envío y otra carpintería.
* Ayuda a planificar la secuencia de operaciones y métodos que se utilizarán en revisión y reparación.
* Verificar y calibrar equipos nuevos o reconstruidos después de la instalación.
* Identificar y reparar averías de máquinas controladas numéricamente.
* Solucionar problemas de operaciones eléctricas, de plomería, hidráulicas y mecánicas para su correcto funcionamiento.
* Utilice equipos de prueba de precisión.
* Puede trabajar con computadoras y software para crear y operar programas, informes y hojas de cálculo.
* Coordina la compra, entrega de inventario y recogida de material peligroso y mantiene un inventario actual de productos químicos en el sitio.
* Coordinar el embalaje, etiquetado, almacenamiento y programación de recogida de residuos peligrosos para su eliminación fuera del sitio.
* Mantiene registros precisos de todos los desechos peligrosos enviados fuera del sitio. Iniciar inspecciones de cumplimiento.
* Asesorar y ayudar en la limpieza de derrames químicos.
* Proporcionar asistencia técnica sobre cumplimiento de materiales peligrosos y prácticas seguras.
* Realizar otras responsabilidades relacionadas.
Educación y experiencia:
* Diploma de preparatoria / GED
* Más de 5 años de experiencia en mantenimiento en entornos de fabricación.
Habilidades y conocimientos:
* Competencia con procedimientos de revisión de bombas y válvulas, especialmente equipos asociados aeroespaciales.
* Capacidad para trabajar a partir de planos y bocetos.
* Capacidad para configurar y operar herramientas de carpintería, manuales y eléctricas. Puede requerir conocimiento práctico de los códigos eléctricos nacionales, estatales y locales.
* Conocimiento de tecnología hidráulica general, es decir, bombas, cilindros, acumuladores, filtros y tuberías, doblado de tubos y fabricación de tuberías para aplicaciones hidráulicas y neumáticas.
