POSTDOC ASSOCIATE

A Postdoctoral Associate position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Lori Rink in the Cancer Signaling & Microenvironment Program, Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. Our aim is to understand the mechanisms of resistance to small molecule inhibitors in the Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST) through both basic and translational studies. The goal of the lab is to translate these findings into novel treatments for GIST. Research involves mammalian tissue culture, preclinical mouse studies and extensive molecular biology.
Fox Chase Cancer Center, a world-renowned leader in cancer research and top-ranking workplace for Postdocs that will provide an outstanding intellectual environment for this research with the goal of becoming an independent successful scientist. The Associate gains independence by performing experiments, analyzing resultant data, publishing original findings, applying for funding, communicating results in presentations at the Center and at conferences, mentoring students, and through participation in leadership and administrative activities offered through Academic Affairs.
