Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented MRB (Material Review Board) Coordinator to join our resto-mod vehicle assembly line team. The MRB Coordinator will be responsible for managing and resolving material discrepancies, ensuring that only the highest quality components are used in our vehicles. This role is crucial to maintaining the integrity and performance of our products.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Material Discrepancy Management: Identify, document, and manage discrepancies in materials and components used in the assembly line. Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Quality Control: Conduct inspections and quality checks on incoming materials and components. Ensure that all parts meet the required specifications and standards.
  • MRB Process Coordination: Lead the MRB process, including organizing and chairing MRB meetings, tracking action items, and ensuring timely resolution of material issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all material discrepancies, resolutions, and quality control activities. Generate reports and provide regular updates to management.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Work with suppliers to address quality issues, request corrective actions, and ensure continuous improvement in material quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the MRB process.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the assembly line team, engineering, purchasing, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and high-quality output.

Required Skills and Abilities
  • Time management, self-starter mentality.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control best practices.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a quality control, material management, or MRB role, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS) and other relevant software tools.
  • Knowledge of automotive components and assembly processes is a plus

Physical Demands (to include but not limited to)
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computers, office equipment, telephones, etc.
  • Physical ability to perform inspections and handle materials as required.
  • Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to navigate through various departments of the organization's physical premises.
  • Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Ability to accurately count and perform basic mathematics.
  • Ability to work in hot or cold temperatures for long periods of time.
  • Safely operate a motor vehicle including forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
