Requirements:

  • BS in Medical Technology or BS/MS/AS in CLIA acceptable course of study.
  • ASCP registered or HEW Medical Technologist is preferred.
  • Three (3) years Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology Histology or Blood Bank experience.
  • Six years (6) laboratory experience.

About the Job:

  • Reports to Laboratory Director.
  • Coordinates the day to day operation of the Hematology, Coagulation and Urinalysis sections of a fast paced hospital laboratory.
  • Works with other section charge techs in the laboratory to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Prefers graduation from an accredited MT or MLT program and passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
