We're hiring a Healthcare Specialist I to join our team at our Acute Treatment Unit at 1302 Chinook Lane in Pueblo.

What You'd Be Doing

As a Healthcare Specialist I, at the Acute Treatment Unit, you would play an important role in providing care in a safe and secure environment for our clients experiencing crises. You would be a member of a small team of professionals working closely with clients to provide a safe, sanitary, therapeutic environment as they receive treatment then transition back to their home and community. You would spend much of your time around planning, preparing and serving meals as well as ensuring the cleanliness of the applicable areas.

Specifically, the Healthcare Specialist I

* Provides exceptional care for our clients;
* Is involved in planning nutritious meals and snacks;
* May assist with ordering food through food distribution company and places ordered contents in storage;
* Cleans and disinfects all food preparation tools, instruments, and equipment before and after each use;
* Ensures that all food surfaces, as well as refrigerators, ovens, freezers, and microwaves, are clean;
* Notifies promptly the supervisor of any incidents or suspicions of food contamination;
* Cleans up all spills and leaks as and when they occur to avoid accidents;
* Follows proper food storage procedures to prevent spoilage;
* Monitors food supplies and informs the supervisor of low stock to ensure the food preparation process isn't disrupted or delayed due to insufficient ingredients;
* Prepares food rotation labels and labels all food items accordingly;
* Able to obtain groceries/kitchen supplies;
* Prepares meals and snacks using proper food handling procedures;
* Stays up-to-date on required electronic trainings, including food handling safety;
* Assists on the unit by conducting safety and wellness checks;
* Answers the phone and applies customer service skills;
* Conducts light custodial work;
* Coordinates with team members regarding meal completion and dietary concerns; and,
* Performs other job related responsibilities as assigned.
* Physical requirements include the following:
* Requires standing, sitting, driving, and walking for prolonged periods of time
* Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 30 pounds
* Requires working under stress in emergency situations
* Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record data electronically and communicate with clients
* Requires occasional driving in adverse weather conditions
* Requires frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse

Qualifications
