This role is currently a hybrid position working remotely and on site. The role is scheduled to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM.

This position offers a full benefit package which includes 12 paid holidays, 3 weeks of paid vacation per year and paid sick time. This is also a pension eligible position and the client is a qualifying employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include providing professional human resources support primarily in the areas of employee relations and training

Delivering training programs related to policies, workplace conduct, supervisory skill development and new employee orientation. The preferred candidate is equally comfortable in conducting training in both virtual and in-person formats.

Coaching supervisors in managing employee relations matters and if necessary, conducting confidential investigation into employee concerns.

The selected candidate will assist supervisors in preparing related documentation.

Researching and making recommendations for the development or revision of human resources, policies, programs and/or training.

Leading processes pertaining to job evaluation and team or service reorganization requests.

Maintaining accurate and thorough records and ensuring compliance with Federal, State and local laws and organizational policies.

Coaching for performance and development directly with staff and through the use of an online appraisal system.

Requirements include:

Completion of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field; and three years of professional Human Resources experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Knowledge of the laws, regulations and trends governing human resources function.

The preferred candidate will:

Be skilled at independently researching and analyzing facts and data in order to make recommendations

Demonstrate professionalism and clarity in written and verbal communication

Maintain positive and professional relationships with internal and external customers

Be skilled at balancing conflicting points of view, demonstrating discretion, integrity and fairness, managing multiple priorities and have a willingness to learn new processes and systems quickly

Have experience providing professional guidance to all levels of management regarding employee relations matters and problem-resolution. Knowledge of current conflict resolution and team building methods and an ability to coach behavior are important.
