Unit Secretary- Per Diem Day

Job Overview:
Assists in the daily operation of the Monmouth County Screening Center by performing receptionist duties and general clerical duties.
Qualifications:
Required:
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Role requires comprehension of medical terminology
* One to three years prior clerical experience required.
* Must possess and maintain a valid N.J. State Driver s License
Preferred:
* Trade/vocational training preferred
* Must be able to communicate effectively
* Skilled and trained in reception, customer relations, and office procedures
* Typing and word processing (minimum of 25 wpm), data entry, office machinery, medical terminology preferred
* Basic knowledge of coding, billing and insurance preferred
Scheduling Requirements:
* Per Diem Day- Hours Vary
Essential Functions:
* During high patient volume and/or acuity, assists by answering telephone lines and routing clinical calls to screening staff
* Completes registration for off-site services, assists in the collection of statistical information, assists in payroll, takes minutes from various PESS meetings
* Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas), etc.
