The Inventory Coordinator orders and maintains all implants, supplies, materials, instruments, equipment, and consignment items for all specialty areas. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.

The Supervisor Sterile Supply responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Manages department staff, including hiring, orientation, scheduling, and training, evaluating performance and competency, and conducting disciplinary/counseling sessions as needed.
* Oversees the billing and scheduling functions within PeriOperative Services.
* Prepares, reviews, and consults, on the development of capital and operational budgets.
* Coordinates cost accounting information. * Maintains department policies & procedures.
* Researches products and makes all purchases (except capital budget purchases) for applicable cost centers.
* Works collaboratively with system supply chain to standardize supplies and ensures supplies are purchased on VHA contracts.
* Manages product inventory with emphasis toward establishing par levels and inventory reduction.
* Communicates directly with physicians on product selection and standardization, and coordinates product evaluation, standardization, and staff education.
* Coordinates product demonstration, trials, and in-services with vendors, medical, and hospital staff representatives to implement needed product conversions.
* Manages all bone and tissue products in order to maintain all required JCAHO/FDA standards.
* Directs the preparation procedures used in all areas of Sterile Processing and ensures compliance with infection control standards and sterility guidelines.
* Ensures appropriate decontamination and sterilization processes for equipment, instruments, and materials. Anticipates the surgery needs for current and following day; interacts and resolves service and supply needs from relevant vendors; monitors financial performance, identifies and iplements strategies to reduce costs & improve quality of care/service Reports to assigned leader This position may have additional or varied physical demand/or respiratory fit requirements. Moderate exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals. Potential for bodily injury related to body mechanics. Must follow standard safety precautions. Exposed to constant interruptions, noise, disagreeable odors, and assorted chemicals. May be required to be on call status. * Current certification (certified SPD tech) or at least 2 years SPD experience
* If not currently certified, must obtain certification within 12 months of hire date
* BLS certification required
* Previous experience in one or more areas of PeriOperative Services preferred
* Must be able to communicate effectively in English (written/verbal)
