Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this position is responsible for the delivery of the highest quality patient care and the optimum utilization of material, financial, and human resources. Responsible for the administrative and day to day operations of the Respiratory, Pulmonary procedural area, Cardiac Imaging, Sleep Lab# and EKG/EEG departments. # Provides direction and oversight for assigned#departments Manages the EEG/EKG Department Assures compliance with regulatory/accreditation agency requirements. Observes staff performance relating to patient care and experience. Demonstrates knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of patients served. Reviews productivity at least daily to allow timely staffing decisions. Operates within operational parameters Accountable for all phases of staff development including recruiting , orientation, retention, supervision, competency and professional growth.# Professional Requirements: Current licensure and registration as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State and a Bachelor#s degree or equivalent Special skills which are required include knowledge of all pulmonary procedures, modalities, and related activities. Skills/Position Requirements: Strong communication skills; ability to work well under continuous stress; ability to express thoughts clearly and concisely; Ability to read and interpret information quickly, in both written, graphic, and oral form. Ability to direct and supervise the activities of others. BLS and ACLS required.# PALS and NRP preferred.# Minimum Education: Prefer degree from an AMA accredited school of Respiratory Care. Registered Therapist preferred. Minimum Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of progressive, responsible experience in an acute care setting. Proven managerial skills.
