Summary:
Performs and documents 12 lead EKG tests with and without rhythm strips and performs signal averaged EKGs. Responds to "TEAMS," "SURGICAL TEAMS," and other emergency calls to perform EKGs as requested.
Formal Education Required:
* Proven ability to read and write English, follow written and oral instructions, and demonstrate basic computer knowledge.
Experience & Training Required:
* Prior EKG experience or training
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
* Ability to effectively communicate verbally with patients, nurses and other hospital personnel.
* Ability work and stand; lift light materials; assist in movement of patients.
* Manual dexterity sufficient to operate equipment
* Ability to transport equipment
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relations with those contacted in the course of work
* Ability to work efficiently, safely and in an organized and detailed manner.
* Ability to conduct EKGs during Trauma Teams, Stroke Teams, Code Stemis, hospital procedures-STAT orders.
* Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
Level of Physical Demands:
* Heavy: Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or ten to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects.
* Fast pace is expected.
$15.68/hr - $20.85/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
