Student Wellness Specialist

This is a part time, 25 hour per week position that reports to the Director of Student Life. The chosen candidate will assist in developing and managing wellness programming for students. The position requires a varied schedule with some nights and weekends required, based on the calendar of student events.

* Assist in the planning, organizing, coordination and supervision of the college's wellness programming including physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual.   Attend and supervise student-sponsored wellness activities at RCBC and off-campus locations. Provide logistical support for activities.
* Participate in the development of marketing strategies to promote campus wellness initiatives to maximize student involvement.
* Serve as office liaison to county/state wellness organizations.
* Assist in the coordination of student club/organization activities and events.
* Assist in the management of the department's social media accounts and keep them updated with current content.
* Assist with the planning and organization of the College's commencement ceremony.
* Serve on college committees as assigned.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY:

The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.Education Required:

Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.

Experience Required:

1.  Experience working with event planning and program facilitation.

2.  Demonstrated customer service experience.INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:

Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
